CHEER LTD. HONORED WITH TOP INDUSTRY AWARDS

(Columbus, OH) – Cheer Ltd. Inc., headquartered in Fayetteville, NC, took top industry honors from the Spirit Industry Trade Association (SITA), during the recent 2006 SITA Annual Meeting and Spirit Industry Awards cruise.

Cheer Ltd.’s National Cheer Conference (NCC), held annually on the campus of Methodist College in Fayetteville, was named the Best Coaches Conference in the Nation. Celebrating its 23rd anniversary in 2006, NCC draws cheerleading coaches, expert speakers and related vendors from across the United States and internationally.

Darren J. Thompson, director of Project Development for Cheer Ltd. Inc., was the presented with the SITA Industry Leadership Award, sharing the award with Steve Wedge of COA. Thompson is the current SITA Chairperson and was recognized for his service, leadership and dedication to the development of the SITA organization. Thompson, a native of Goldsboro, NC, has been with Cheer Ltd., Inc., for ten years. He currently resides in Fayetteville with his wife and two children.

Over 150 companies currently comprise the spirit industry and all were eligible for the prestigious SITA awards. SITA was established in 2003 to promote the growth of the cheer and dance industry.
