SPIRIT INDUSTRY TRADE ASSOCIATION (SITA) CONDUCTS QUARTERLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING
(Dallas, TX) – The Spirit Industry Trade Association (SITA) concluded its third quarter meeting July 19-20 in Dallas, TX. Darren Thompson, Vice-Chair for SITA presided over the meetings.
Highlights of the meeting included the SITA Membership Committee report of additional members joining since the last meeting. Total membership now stands at 25 with 13 full company members and 12 affiliate members. Additional memberships are pending and the committee is actively recruiting new membership to join existing members.
The SITA Projects Committee prioritized several project ideas for the association and is working over the coming months to begin research on some of the top priorities. In addition, the SITA Annual Meeting Committee pitched an idea for development to the general membership, which is also being researched during the next month. Additional information regarding these projects will be released in September 2005. The SITA Membership Committee, Marketing Committee, Budget/Finance Committee, Site Selection Committee, and School/Rec Committee met as well during these two days. Major emphasis was placed on the further development of the SITA website.
“Our meetings the past two days were very productive,” stated Darren Thompson, Vice-Chair of SITA. “We left Dallas with tremendous excitement and motivation surrounding future plans for the Spirit Industry Trade Association (SITA) and more importantly, the spirit industry as a whole.”
The next general membership meeting for SITA is schedule for October 17-18, 2005 in Atlanta, GA.
To create a forum that represents and promotes the interest and advancement of the spirit industry.
