SPIRIT INDUSTRY TRADE ASSOCIATION (SITA) CONDUCTS QUARTERLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING
(Raleigh, NC) – The Spirit Industry Trade Association (SITA) concluded its second quarter meeting yesterday. Lisa Saline, Chairperson for SITA presided over the meetings.
Highlights of this meeting came from the officers’ reports and the committee reports. The SITA Membership Committee reported that membership continues to grow with company members now totaling 13 and 9 affiliate members have joined thus far. Interest among potential members remains strong and efforts are in place to provide membership information to current prospects. The committee also recommended a third type of membership to be called “Limited Company Membership” which will provide an additional way for inclusion in SITA with some privileges at a reduced membership rate. The board approved this recommendation.
In other business, the SITA Projects Committee reported on the status prioritization of the numerous pending projects for the organization, the SITA Calendar Committee updated work on the master events calendar for members, and the SITA Marketing Committee updated the status of the member resource section of the web site. Other SITA committees met during this meeting as well.
The next general membership meeting for SITA is schedule for July 19-20, 2005 in Dallas, TX.
To create a forum that represents and promotes the interest and advancement of the spirit industry.
