NCSSE OFFERING NEW COACHING COURSES

(Enterprise, AL) - The National Council for Spirit Safety and Education (NCSSE) announces the successful launch of a new course in the prestigious NCSSE curriculum called Program Management for School Coaches. This course features a “How To” manual covering methods and practices that can lead to a successful school-wide cheerleading program. Forms and colorful illustrations contribute to the information coaches can use in their daily handling of coaching duties.

"The response to NCSSE and its commitment to provide expanded opportunities for the professional training of cheerleading coaches has been overwhelming," says Debbie Bracewell, Executive Director of the NCSSE. "Because so many cheerleading coaches are professional educators themselves, they are particularly excited about our determination to give cheer coaches specific training in the common everyday activities that encompass their jobs.” Bracewell says that by offering this training, cheer coaches will gain more confidence in themselves which will translate into stronger cheer programs and safer cheerleaders.

For the all-star market, a new manual is in production—Building a Successful All-Star Program. This interactive course provides a step by step discussion of the necessary procedures in launching and sustaining an all-star gym. From writing the initial business plan to creative methods of improving the gym’s revenue streams, this course can help increase the level of success for the business and the owner. This manual will also have a variety of user-friendly forms and resourses that are focused on the specific concerns of the all-star coach and gym owner. This course will be launched in September 2005.

Coaches interested in any of the NCSSE offerings can contact their state directors or Debbie Bracewell, NCSSE Executive Director through the web site at www.spiritsafety.com or by calling the NCSSE National Headquarters in Enterprise, AL.
