2007-08 Scholastic Divisions

Scholastic teams are teams whose members attend the same school and cheer for a school athletic team or school related events. Routines may not exceed 2:30 minutes. Amount of music is not dictated by Cheer Ltd however, voice is a category to be scored (see Traditional Score Sheet for more information). All routines must follow the National Federation of High School Associations (NFHS) Spirit Safety Rules as approved by the NCSSE.

2007-08 Recreation Divisions

Recreation terms are non-school affiliated teams that cheer for an organized sport during the current full season and must not be formed solely for the purpose of competition. Routines may not exceed 2:30 minutes. Amount of music is not dictated by Cheer Ltd however, voice is a category to be scored (see Traditional Score Sheet for more information). All routines must follow the National Federation of High School Associations (NFHS) Spirit Safety Rules as approved by the NCSSE.

2007-08 All Star Divisions

All Star Teams are teams formed for competition purposes and do not cheer for any other organized sport. All routines must follow USASF Rules and Level Guidelines and team members must all comply with USASF Guidelines set forth for divisions and age. The age of the competitors as of May 31, 2007 will be the age used for competition purposes throughout the 2007-08 season. Routines are all-music and may not exceed 2:30 minutes.

2007-08 Individual Cheerleader Divisions

Individual divisions are separated for scholastic/recreation cheerleaders and all star cheerleaders. (Please refer the team divisions for more specific information defining scholastic, recreation and all stars.) All individual cheerleader routines may not exceed 1:30 minutes. Amount of music is not dictated by Cheer Ltd however, voice will most likely be an area considered when scoring the "Crowdleading" category for individuals (see International Cheerleader Score Sheet for more information).

2007-08 Stunt Group Divisions

Stunt group divisions are separated for scholastic/recreation and all stars. (Please refer the team divisions for more specific information defining scholastic, recreation and all stars.) Stunt group routines must not exceed 1:30 and use all-music. All star routines must follow USASF rules (see specific level guidelines below) and scholastic/recreation must follow NFHS safety rules. Stunt routines may not incorporate choreographed motions (other than the flyer during a stunt), tumbling (unless part of the stunt/transition), dance or jumps.

2007-08 Dance Divisions

Teams perform routines in specialized dance areas. Cheer Ltd follows the USASF Dance Rules. The age of the competitors as of May 31, 2007 will be the age used for competition purposes throughout the 2007-08 season. Routines must be all-music and may not exceed 2:15 minutes. All dance divisions combine scholastic, recreation, all star and studio "teams".

2007-08 Dance Individual, Duo, Trio Divisions

Dancers can perform individual and small group routines in any style. Cheer Ltd. follows the USASF Dance Rules.  Individual and small group routines must be all-music and may not exceed 1:30 minutes. The age of the competitors as of May 31, 2007 will be the age used for competition purposes throughout the 2007-08 season. All dance divisions combine scholastic, recreation, all star and studio dancers. Individual dancer and small dance group divisions are not offered at Cheer Ltd Nationals at CANAM; only at Soffe Open and Regional Championships.

All collegiate teams will perform on a standard cheer mat. All routines must follow the AACCA College Cheerleading Safety Rules and may not exceed 2:30 minutes. Eligibility covers current members and accepted 08-09 recruits.

Individual cheerleader routines may not exceed 1:30 minutes. Amount of music is not dictated by Cheer Ltd however, voice will most likely be an area considered when scoring the "Crowdleading" category for individuals (see International Cheerleader Score Sheet for more information). Stunt group routines must not exceed 1:30 and use all-music.
