1. Are parents required to buy a housing package? No.  Parents can stay anywhere they choose.  Tickets may be purchased at the ticket booth of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
2. Can parents purchase a housing package? Yes.  Parents may purchase a housing package with a team.  With this package, parents receive all of the items a particpant does, but receives admission tickets instead of paying for competition fees.
3. Can competition-only participants purchase shuttle passes? No.  Shuttle service is provided only to housing package participants.
4. Where is the Myrtle Beach Convention Center located? 2101 North Oak Street; Myrtle Beach, SC 29578.  You can visit their website at www.myrtlebeachconventioncenter.com. 
5. Can I pre-purchase admission tickets? No.  Tickets must be purchased on site at the convention center ticket booth. At the event, multi-day tickets can be purchased so spectators do not have to stand in line each day!
6. How much do spectator tickets cost?  Weekend Pass - Adults = $ 55  Child (6-12 yrs old) = $ 25  Under 6 = Free   Daily Rate - Adults = $ 20    Child (6-12 yrs old) = $ 10   Under 6 = Free  CHEER LTD. ONLY ACCEPTS CASH FOR TICKET PURCHASES!
7. Does Cheer Ltd. believe in judging or scoring?  Cheer Ltd. believes in JUDGING!  We believe that our nationally certified judges have been trained to determine what scores a team should receive.  Our judges watch the entire routine and judge on all elements. 8. What rules do scholastic and recreation teams follow?  National Federation of  State High Schools Associations Spirit Rules (NFHS).
9. What rules do all-starand dance teams follow?  United States All-Star Federation Rules (USASF).
10. When are awards held?  Individual Cheerleader and Stunt Team Championship award ceremonies will be held on Friday, March 19, 2009.  College Team award ceremony is held on Saturday evening, March 20, 2009. Team awards are held throughout the day on Sunday, March 21, 2009.  The competition schedule will be posted to the web approximately March 15, 2009. The order of appearance for each team will not be published on the website, but the division start times along with event schedule will be made available. For a complete listing of performances, an official Nationals Program can be purchased at the event for . 
11. What is the practice like for Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM? Team CANAM wants all teams to have as much practice as possible.  With that said, there are over 5000 competitorss that all want to practice!  Cheer Ltd. has a warm up arena that has scheduled times for practice before you actually compete.  Nobody is allowed into this practice facility (Arena B) other than coaches and participants.  This is a closed area dedicated to practice and "getting it together mentally" before a team competes.  On top of your scheduled practice times, there is the ballroom area that is bonus space - it is on a first-come-first-served basis.  We ask that if there are teams waiting, coaches take no more than 10 minutes on the practice floor.  A Cheer Ltd. facilitator will be on hand to make the flow appropriate if neccesary.  Remember, these competitors learn life lessons from their coaches so respectfully take turns! 12. Can video cameras be brought into the convention center? No.  Digital Cheer has been contracted to produce this copyright protected event as well as Live Sports Video for the live webcast. 
13. When and where can Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM DVD's be purchased? You may purchase official CANAM DVD's at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center throughout the weekend. Your DVD will be available at Nationals this year through Digital Cheer and can be picked up at the event...yes, you can take your DVD home! You can purchase DVDs after the event by visiting www.digitalcheer.com.
14. How are judges for Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM chosen? All Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM judges must be nationally certified through the National Cheer Judges Certification program.  The 8 hour course gives certifications at many levels.  Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM judges must have "elite" certification in order to be eligable as well as judge numerous events on the regional level. 
15. Are there athletic trainer on site? Yes.  Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM provides certified athletic trainers in the case of an emergency.  These trainers are not there to tape and wrap teams.  Please bring your own tape and wrap if you require it.  The trainers are there to assist in injuries and accidents.
16. Is there food sold at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center? Yes.  The snack bars as well as buffet stations are set up throughout the weekend for spectators and competitors. A great coffee shop and restaurant are also located at the Sheraton for your convenience.
17. Is there merchandise sold at the event? Yes.  The Cheer Shoppe and Soffe will have all of the official Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM gear on site for your shopping pleasure! Don't forget your spending money, since there is definitely something for everyone!
18. Do you have wheelchair access for those with physical disabilities? We do not provide wheelchairs, but if a spectator with special needs has a wheelchair and requires help to see the competition, the arena facilitator will gladly help assist them to the proper location.
19. Is Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM an "Open" event? No.  All teams that compete at Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM must qualify.  Teams may qualify for nationals several different ways : minimum score of 225 or higher at a Cheer Ltd. regional competition or Soffe Open Championship,  Cheer Ltd. summer camp bid given by the camp instuctors, defending champions receive an automatic defending champion bid to defend their title, and by special sanctioned competitions. 
20. What do champions in a team division receive? Each championship team receives a champion award, champion banner, team photo, gift certificate to The Cheer Shoppe, National CheerCon, and Summer Camps.  Each individual on the championship team will receive a championship medallion, championship jacket, and championship t-shirt from The Cheer Shoppe.
21. Are there refunds given? No refunds for any reason are given after December 31, 2009.
22. What is Inside Cheerleading Moments at CANAM? Inside Cheerleading Magazine will be on site looking for photo opportunities and special moments, teams, competitors, coaches, and fans, to showcase in a spread in IC issue following Cheer Ltd Nationals. Look out for Vince and you could be an IC superstar!!!
23. What all-star divisions are eligible to earn bids to the USASF World Championships? Cheer Ltd. will give one fully paid bid and two at-large bids to the USASF World Championships.  Three teams will earn bids to the USASF World Championships from the following eligible divisions: Senior Cheer Level 5, Senior Limited Coed Level 5, Senior Semi-limited Coed Level 5, and Senior Unlimited Coed Level 5.  The team with the highest overall score from those eligible divisions will receive the fully paid bid.  The two at-large bids will go the the second and third highest scores from the eligible divisions listed.  On top of that we will also give two international at-large bids to the team with the highest score from the eligible divisions: International Open Level 5, International Open Coed Level 5, International Open Level 6, International Open Coed Level 6.  International Teams are NOT eligible for the fully paid bid.
24. Why choose Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM? If you want the best, most organized national competition in the country and the ONLY competition in Myrtle Beach that gives bids to the USASF Worlds - then this is the place for you!
