JUDGING & SCORING MINI-WEBINARS

Cheer Ltd's NEW Judging and Scoring System - Score Sheets, Rubrics, Info, and more! We're excited to have gone though our 2 competition seasons (2010-12) and evaluated our judging and scoring system change 2 years ago. We anticipated finding flaws and issues, but stayed committed to keeping the system the same for 2 years to minimize the learning curve issues and have a semi-consistent judging system for our competitive events. Two years was also plenty of time to see the system in action and gain feedback from coaches and judges.

With that information, the big changes to the NFHS scholastic rules, and the industry standards, Cheer Ltd has done a lot of research and spent weeks developing a system we believe balances our philosophies with who our customers are ... AND we've incorporated some new categories and ways of evaluating skills from other sports like gymnastics and STUNT!

JUDGES WHO WISH TO JUDGE FOR CHEER LTD in 2012/13 MUST LISTEN LIVE OR WATCH A RECORDING OF THE ASTERISKED (*) MINI WEBINARS LISTED BELOW. Additional topics are listed below. Some are open to coaches only, most are open to Current Certified (Cheer Ltd) Judges.

  • Cheer Ltd's Judging and Scoring Grids (judges)
  • Safety & Deduction Judging How-Too (judges)
  • Panel Judging and How to Comment Effectively and Efficiently (judges)
  • Difficulty Categories and Applying Cheer Ltd's Scoring Grids (judges)

Education is key and "Knowledge is Power." Every competitive coach and judge is encouraged to research all aspects of an event's scoring and judging system to be the most competitive and be the best judge possible. Cheer Ltd is dedicated to that by offering the National Cheer Judging Certification Clinics throughout the year. About 40% of the participants in these clinics are coaches who want to learn more and gain that competitive edge. Knowing what judges know helps coaches and choreographers determine what scores well within a system and how to maximize each category. Come learn with us for FREE! We guarantee you'll learn at least one new thing...isn't that worth it?! Space is limited to 24 for each webinar so register early!

MOST OF THESE WEBINARS WILL BE RECORDED. Contact Lisa Thompson AFTER THE WEBINARS HAVE TAKEN PLACE TO REQUEST THE LINK TO THE RECORDING. Please include your full name, city/state, and if you are a current certified judge through Cheer Ltd's NCJC.
